1.【Definition and chemical properties】

CMC (sodium carboxymethyl cellulose) is a product obtained by carboxymethylation of cellulose. Its aqueous solution has the functions of thickening, film-forming, bonding, moisture retention, colloid protection, emulsification and suspension.

3.【Preparation method】

CMC is prepared mainly by reacting cellulose with chloroacetic acid to produce carboxymethyl cellulose. In this process, the reaction conditions need to be controlled to ensure the purity and performance of the product.

1). This product should be stored in a ventilated and dry place.
